Funeral Celebrant Training through live, one-to-one online tuition with specialist trainers. No pre-recorded teaching, no group training. Just you and your teacher who will be completely focused on your individual learning.

Funeral Celebrancy is a role which requires being the voice of those who are unable to speak. Saying the words of grieving people or narrating the life story for those who have died. Being able to help others celebrate and say goodbye through the creation and narration of bespoke ceremonies, starts with directed learning.
Personalised Funeral Celebrant Training
Our Funeral Celebrant Training is comprehensive, educational and inspiring, guiding you to write and lead personalised funeral ceremonies celebrating the lives of unique people.
Our courses are face to face, 1-to-1 (no group training, no videos or pre-recorded training materials to watch), online sessions, each lasting between 1.5 to 2 hours.
We deliver your learning to you, removing the need to travel and preventing additional costs and time required for residential and distance training.

Choose How You Learn
Weekly Online Training
Up to 10 weekly training sessions, each lasting up to 2 hours. The preferred way to learn for those who do not want to travel and recommended for those who have personal or family commitments. Additional personal study and ceremony writing is required as part of your training.
One off payment: £1349
Or x 3 payments: £460
Accelerated Online Training
Accelerated Learning is 4.5 daily online sessions up to 7 hours long (with breaks), with a day inbetween for personal study. An intensive and rapid learning experience for those who want to compact their training into a shorter timeframe.
Exercises and ceremony construction completion in addition to daily sessions is required. Dates are arranged directly, please contact us for date availability.

Funeral Course Requirements
Funeral celebrants require more than writing and speaking abilities. Our role is about people, because of people and being confident around others is beneficial.
We will work with you to help you develop the skills you will require to be a confident and proficient Funeral Celebrant.
You do not need any qualifications or experience to enrol on our funeral celebrant course.
What you will need is:
- enthusiasm
- dedication to learning in live sessions and to writing assigned tasks
- a PC/laptop/tablet with Word, Pages or Google Docs
- a good internet connection
Meet and Greet
Your chosen tutor will arrange a 45 minute meet and greet online video call with you. During the call you will be provided with the following:
- information about the course
- your first exercise
- your login in information for our online Learning Portal
- you will both arrange suitable times and dates for your next 3 training sessions

How to Lead a Funeral Ceremony
During the course you will deliver 3 ceremonies you have created to your Celebrant Trainer, who will provide you with feedback. You will choose what style of ceremony you want to learn, including self-chosen character scenarios. We will teach you how to perform a ceremony with information which includes:
- the pace to perform a ceremony
- how to speak when delivering a ceremony
- how to play music and visual tributes
- how to create and hold space
- how to overcome nerves
Should you need additional support, we have a course with advice and exercises to help when speaking in public as a celebrant.
Starting Your New Business
Starting a new business and being self-employed can be exciting and concerning if you haven’t done it before. We will give you all the information you need to start and maintain your new venture. Information includes:
- finding and growing your business identity and choosing your new business name
- the need for a website and branding (Choice CT have an in house Graphic Designer, Web Builder/Developer should you need these services. Our community benefit from reduced fees for these services)
- help with setting up a business email address
- social media and what to post
- how to write blogs and what to blog about
- information about registering your business and your accounts
- information about your business expenses and self employment

Support After Your Training
Once your training is over, we will guide and support you in your role as a Funeral Celebrant. There will be times when you might need advice, information, somebody to talk to or a second opinion. We become your mentor when your training has ended.
Once your course has been completed, we will post your certificate of completion to you.
